Concealed Weapon License (FL)
This class meets the requirements necessary for obtaining a license to carry a weapon on your person. However, it also includes other very important information that you should consider before carrying a weapon. Some but not all the subject matter covered, includes weapon safety, related laws, reciprocity, restrictions and use of force. Generally, this class takes four hours depending upon the participants ability to show proof of competency with a firearm.
Advanced Concealed Weapon License (FL)
This class (even though) not mandatory, expounds on your understanding of concealment, weapons, holsters and further increases your knowledge regarding carrying concealed. It is often referred to as the, what I didn’t know about carrying, but really needed to class. It is a real mind opener!
Class “D” Security Officer (FDACS)
Any individual who performs the services of a security officer in the State of Florida must have a Class “D” Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services Security Officer License. This requires a forty-hour course that mandates successful completion with a minimum score of 75%. Not meeting this requirement violates Florida law under F.S. 493.
Only Class “G”, Class “M”, or Class “MB” Licensees are permitted to bear a firearm and only such Licensee who bears a firearm any such Licensee who bears a firearm must complete the initial course of instruction that includes the FDACS twenty-eight hours of classroom and range training, from a FDACS Licensed “K” firearms instructor.
Class “G” Statewide Firearms License (FDACS) Recertification
This four-hour annual training session provides the necessary classroom material, written test and shooting qualification required to maintain (recertify) your Class “G” FDACS Armed Security License.
NRA Basic Firearms Training
In this course you will receive instructor-led basic firearms training from a National Rifle Association (NRA) certified instructor which will include but not be limited to:
Weapon safety and security, the fundamentals of shooting, along with those skills required for proper weapon handling, loading (preparing to shoot) and unloading (making safe). Learning these fundamentals initially will build a better foundation for the remainder of your shooting career.
NRA Advanced Firearms Training
Beginning with a refresher on the basics and much like the Basic Firearms Training course, taught by an NRA certified instructor, it will build on those skills and abilities and refine one’s proficiency. Adding increased speed of re-loading, drawing from a holster, shooting from barricades, and shooting while on the move. This advanced training separates you from those who just stand facing a target and just shoot.
Sabre OC Aerosol Spray (Pepper Spray) Training
Don’t be surprised! This training informs you on what you need to know, before carrying and using (OC) Pepper Spray. This instruction can be as detailed as what law enforcement trains, including practicing with inert aerosol canisters and can include being sprayed with pepper spray for a real understanding of what this non-lethal devise feels like.
ALICE (Active Shooter) Training
Alert-Lockdown-Inform-Counter-Evacuate
This phenomenal active shooter-active threat training can be set up for any group, business or organization. It will open your eyes and minds to more than just a Run-Hide-Fight video can’t demonstrate. This is a great addition to any current security training or should be used to initiate a new security program. Attendance is only restricted by the size of the facility available for holding your class.
Worship Safe
We have a security/safety program that can be tailored and fine-tuned to your church and congregation. Instead of hiring an outside security agency, whose officers usually rotate through different contracted sites. Which means they are not familiar with your facility, congregation or its needs. We professionally evaluate and then carefully select personnel from your volunteers, so they can conduct your in-house security program. My process can also certify your security staff with the same KSAs and same licenses that all Florida security officers hold. Continuing education and training keep your staff current and on point. In addition, I can conduct a security/safety audit on your property to suggest and recommend other ideas that will assist with securing your church, but more importantly your congregation.
This is a needed and unfortunately a must have training program, especially since churches are now becoming a primary target for active shooters. Call for a consultation and see what Shoot Safe LLC can do for you!
